The Abenaki People of the State of Vermont invite you to join us in a four day celebration of our deep rooted history, culture and tradition Learn about our past and present through a series of demonstrations, discussions and films. Stimulate all of your senses as you walk through a seventeenth century Abenaki encampment, taste our food, see crafts demonstrations and talk to our artists, listen to our Traditions music, songs, stories and watch our dancers. There will also be a daily guest appearance from our Mohawk cousins from the other side of Bitabagw, Abenaki for The Lake in Between (known today as Lake Champlain). ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center & Leahy Campus make the perfect backdrop for this celebration of our culturally rich heritage.
